First in Berkshire is proud to be an operator of Green Line, once a network of express services covering most parts of London and adjacent counties. London's difficult operating environment has meant that many Green Line services have gradually been withdrawn, but thanks to the motivation of staff and First's commitment to improving its products, the 701 and 702 services from Berkshire to London survive.

First has recently invested in modern vehicles for Green Line and since 2004 the timetable has been developed to provide higher frequencies. Fares have also come down as a result of the Rainbow Fares scheme, where passengers can pay much less if they are flexible enough to travel on off-peak journeys. First in Berkshire was announced as Joint Runner Up at the UK Bus Awards in 2008 for its marketing work with Rainbow Fares, where passenger numbers have grown considerably but the average fare has reduced every year since 2004.
